Brown’s first Triple Eight Supercar shown off

Triple Eight Race Engineering has shown off Will Brown’s first #87 Supercar on his home turf in Toowoomba.
The powerhouse determined to get its hands back on the Supercars championship will take on the 2024 season in an all blue Camaro that will be driven by new recruit Brown and six-time race winner Broc Feeney.
Triple Eight’s livery is one of its more cleanest of recent years with the Ampol red being removed.
The 2024 look closely resembles the style of the first Red Bull livery in 2013 being covered in blue with red and white along the bottom, while the layout also reseambles 2017.

Triple Eight unveiled the livery to its fans in front of a big crowd at a special event in Brown’s hometown Toowoomba.
In addition to the Camaro, pilot Matt Hall also entertained with an aerobatic display, while new co-driver Scott Pye and Managing Director Jamie Whincup were also in attendance.
Brown arrives from Triple Eight after a high-profile move from Erebus Motorsport and would love to make the most of the biggest opportunity in his career.
The 25-year-old enjoyed a breakout year in 2023, winning four races at Wanneroo, Symmons Plains and Townsville where he momentarily led the championship.
After finishing 14th with just one podium in 2022, Brown scored a maiden top five championship finish last year.

Brown is a big fan of his first Triple Eight Supercar and was delighted to reveal it in front of friends and family at his home town.
“The cars look amazing. To be joining the team and having those iconic Red Bull Ampol Racing colours on my car is fantastic,” he said.
“To reveal the car for the first time in Toowoomba and to show it off to all the locals is pretty exciting to have it in my hometown. My family have a small used car dealership here.”
Although Brown got his first taste of a Triple Eight Camaro at a shakedown at Queensland Raceway last week and is looking forward to extended wheel time at Monday’s test day.
“The next major event for us is the team’s pre-season test day on Monday which is going to be exciting to get a full day in the car,” he said.
“We’ve done the shakedown which was just a teaser, and now to get the full day is awesome.

“We’re going to run through the normal test plan and get myself more comfortable in the car because it’s brand new to me, so Andrew (Edwards, race engineer) and I will be working closely with each other. It’ll be a big day, but I’m really looking forward to it.”
Feeney has progressed each year in his short Supercars career so far.
In his rookie season rounded out with a win in the final race of the year at Adelaide he finished sixth, while last year he rose two spots in the standings.
Having collected more wins at Albert Park, Wanneroo, Symmons Plains, Hidden Valley and a special Sandown 500, the 21-year-old earned the “Mr Sunday” tag.
In his third full season of Supercars, Feeney hopes to make the step up to championship contender.

Feeney likes his third Triple Eight Supercar and feels the team made good progress at the recent shakedown.
“The cars look clean – simple but very effective. As long as it goes fast I’ll be happy, but it certainly looks the goods,” he said.
“We had a really good shakedown during the week and we got to run through a couple of things before our test day on Monday.
“The cars are a little bit different with a different aero package, but it’s just getting back to work and seeing what’s in our toolbox and what we can improve on from last year.
“Hopefully we can use Monday’s test day to make some gains before the start of the season.”
Triple Eight will test at Queensland Raceway on Monday, February 5.
