Fullwood looking to build on career-best season

Fullwood

By Thomas Miles

Fresh from his best year in Supercars, Bryce Fullwood is excited to go even further in 2024 with Brad Jones Racing.

This year Fullwood will once again race with the distinctive Middy’s Electrical livery which is near identical to 2023.

The all black front end has been retained with the only major change a new sponsor on the bonnet.

The rest of the #14 Camaro is covered in pink with flashes of lightening scattered around one of the brightest liveries on the grid.

Last year Fullwood enjoyed his most consistent Supercars season yet, finishing just outside of the top 10 in 11th, three places better than his previous best in 2021.

The season featured 11 top 10 finishes as the Darwin product found some form on home turf at Hidden Valley and went on a strong run through Townsville up to the enduros where he charged from 21st to ninth at Bathurst.

Fullwood will take on his third season at BJR with engineer Phil Keed and is determined to pick up from where he left off in 2023.

“We had some really good moments last year, Phil Keed, (engineer) and I were able to really gel and that’s very important to get right,” he said.

“So we’ve got all the basics down and it’s time to just get going.

“Looking at the Middy’s Camaro and I can’t wait to just get into it.

“I think we left 2023 with some unfinished business and I’m just keen to get racing again.”

The 2024 livery is very similar to 2023 for Bryce Fullwood.

BJR team owner Brad Jones explained why the livery was not tweaked and feels Fullwood can push hard in 2024.

“Middy’s felt for this year there’s no reason to make big wholesale changes to a livery that’s already captured the fans’ attention, you certainly can’t miss it on circuit,” he said.

“Bryce and the team made really positive progress in the championship last year and I am looking forward to seeing what can be done to build on that in 2024.”
