Seven announces Bathurst 1000 opener and broadcast details

7SPORT's opener for the 2025 Bathurst 1000

The Seven Network will launch its Repco Bathurst 1000 coverage on Friday, 10 October, with a special opener featuring current and former Supercars drivers sharing their favourite Bathurst memories.

The segment includes Dick Johnson, Garth Tander, Brodie Kostecki, Jamie Whincup, Chaz Mostert, Cam Waters and Broc Feeney, and sets the tone for the 65th running of the Great Race.

Coverage begins at 10.00am AEDT on Friday, 10 October, across Seven, 7mate and 7plus Sport, continuing through practice and qualifying. On Sunday, Seven’s broadcast starts at 7.00am AEDT on Seven and 7plus Sport, with the main race coverage from 10.00am AEDT.

Seven’s 2025 Bathurst 1000 team is led by 7NEWS Sydney sport anchor and 7Sport host Mel McLaughlin alongside Mark Beretta. Jack Perkins will provide expert insights, Emma Freedman will report from around the mountain and campgrounds, and Chris Stubbs will cover stories from pit lane.
