Britten adds 7th QLD V8 Dirt modified title in Toowoomba

The Toowoomba Hi-Tec -Oils Speedway hosted the Queensland V8 Dirt Modified Title over a huge weekend of dirt action, with Kevin Britten adding a sensational seventh title to his trophy cabinet.
Also featuring in a packed weekend was the The Late Models, Formula 500 Juniors and Seniors, The Production Sedans, and the The Compact Speedcars, and Street Stocks but the Saturday night belonged to Britten who knocked off the defending champion to reclaim the crown from David Clark.
Britten had to come through the field from 9th in his #34 Hession’s Auto Parts machine, holding off Zac MacDonald and Chris Corbett to get it done after 30 hard fought laps on the Queensland dirt.
“Started off ninth in the feature and got off to a great start by getting to 6th after the first lap,” Britten described.
“Continued moving through the field, moving into 1st on lap 8. Holding on until the end of the race, reclaiming the Queensland title for the 7th time.
“Special mention to Ray Edwards for getting the carby serviced and working as good as new again.”
In the Late Models, Ben Nicastri got the win over Carter Armstrong and Nathan Battersby, whilst in the Formula 500’S Lilly Whell lead them away from the green light to overcome Bryce McGregor
And Jac Laneyrie. Whilst in the Senior category, it was Aussie champion Liam Williams taking an historic 24th victory on the Toowoomba Speedway.
In the Production Sedan Moore Trailers Championship Series Grand Final Billy MacDonald took the chequered over Brodie Hollyman and Madison Harkin after 20 laps, with their Australian Title race arriving in Toowoomba on April 25th and 26th.
In the Compact Speedcars feature, Dion Wilson got there over Andrew Parks and Matt O’Neil, whilst in the Street Stocks, the features went to Darren Ciesiolka and Travis Hutchison.
