Crick gets Supercars chance with MSR

Cam Hill and Cam Crick

By Thomas Miles

Cameron Crick will make a long awaited Supercars debut with Matt Stone Racing as Cameron Hill’s co-driver in 2024.

It is fitting Crick gets his first main game call up with Hill, who have been close mates for nearly a decade since they raced in the Toyoya 86 Series together.

Come September and October, they will be sharing the #4 Matt Stone Racing Chevrolet Camaro Supercar at the iconic Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000 events.

He is the last part of a fresh endurance line up for MSR with Crick joining Dylan O’Keeffe, who has arrived from PremiAir.

Last year Jaylyn Robotham and Jayden Ojeda partnered Hill and Jack Le Broca respectively.

Crick is a stalwart of the national racing scene, racing in categories such as Super2, V8 SuperUtes and Australian Production Cars in 2024 alone.

He is currently competing in the Dunlop Series with Eggleston Motorsport and sits 12th in the championship with a best result of ninth after finishing 2023 11th with one podium at Townsville.

The two Cameron’s have shared a car before having raced in the last two Bathurst 6 Hour events.

“For me, this is a dream come true moment and it has taken a lot of hard work over the last few

years to get here,” Crick said.

“Obviously to do it with a very close mate in Cam Hill is something special, but also to build on the relationship with Matt Stone Racing as well is huge.

“The team has been super welcoming and accommodating this year and it just feels like the place to be at the moment.

“I’d like to thank my core partnership group who have been a part of this journey, and to see them on the car at Sandown and Bathurst is also very exciting.

“We’ve got more testing  coming up in the next few weeks, which will be great to get more seat time and prepare for the enduro campaign.”

Hill will be proud to share the car with Crick.

“I am really looking forward to having Cam join me for the enduros this year,” he said.

“We have been good mates for many years now and talk almost daily! We have come through the junior categories together, and to finally be able to team up together is going to be a lot of fun.

“Cam works harder than anyone I know on his racing. He has loads of talent and is underrated in my opinion.

“There are a few things for him to pick up being his first run in the main game but I know with the guidance of Paul Forgie our engineer and with Cam’s maturity he will be dialled in when we get racing.”
