DJR and Penske renew commercial partnership

Dick Johnson Racing has renewed its commercial partnership with Penske Australia and New Zealand for the 2024 Supercars season.
Four years after Roger Penske left the team after a hat-trick of championships with Scott McLaughlin at the end of 2020, Penske Australia and New Zealand have continued their support.
The deal will see the brands associated with Penske Australia and New Zealand return to the DJR Mustangs, having been primary backers of the early days of DJR Team Penske from 2015 to 2016.
When DJR Team Penske was in existence from 2015 to 2020 it brought the famous squad back to the top of Supercars.
From the depths of 2014 when the team scored just three top five finishes all year, DJR became a powerhouse again with Penske’s support by 2017.
After falling heartbreakingly short of the title to Jamie Whincup, McLaughlin and DJR Team Penske hit back to snatch the long awaited title in 2018.
The 2019 season proved even greater as McLaughlin won the Bathurst 1000 and broke the championship wins record on his way to back to back titles in the new Mustang.
McLaughlin completed the hat-trick in 2020 before he left with Penske to IndyCar with great success.
But Penske will be back in Supercars to an extent in a commercial form supporting DJR in 2024.
DJR CEO David Noble is thrilled to see the brands back.
