The 2002 VALO Adelaide 500 just got a further event boost with two fan favourite’s making their return to the streets of Adelaide.

The Supercars iconic Transporter Parade will again make its way through the Adelaide CBD on Tuesday, November 29.

Then the popular Supercars driver signing session will be held on the eve of the event at Rundle Mall, making its return after a seven year hiatus.

Doubling as a celebration for the farewell of the Holden vs Ford rivalry, the drivers will be signing for fans between 12:00 and 1pm.

Adelaide local Tim Slade who pilots the #3 Cool Drive Mustang, is excited for the return to the iconic events glory days.

“It’s clear this year’s VALO Adelaide 500 is a return to the event’s glory days,” Slade said.

“The driver signing session in Rundle Mall was an iconic event on the Adelaide 500 schedule for many years and it’s fantastic to see it make its return for Adelaideans to enjoy again.

“South Australians are so passionate about this race and I think I can speak for all drivers when I say we can’t wait to be back amongst it for the VALO Adelaide 500 next week.”

A display of Supercars that will be lining up on the Grid for the season finale will also be on display for fans to get up and close to their favourite V8’s.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to secure their spot in the line and don their favourite Holden and Ford merchandise to show their true colours as the sport’s iconic rivalry draws to a close.

On Tuesday, the VALO Adelaide 500 will officially kick into gear as the Supercars Transporter Parade embarks on its journey through Adelaide.

Special guests will feature in the parade including South Australian driver Todd Hazelwood and motorsport commentator Matt Naulty aboard the VALO Adelaide 500 Ford Mustang.
