Supercars Championship outfit Team Sydney has locked in its co-drivers for the 2021 edition of the Bathurst 1000.

Once again team owner and 2016 Bathurst 1000 winner Jonathon Webb will return for the ‘Great Race’ and will share car #19 with Fabian Coulthard.

The second seat alongside Garry Jacobson will be filled by TCR Australia frontrunner Dylan O’Keeffe.

Webb is keen to contest his 16th consecutive Bathurst 1000, a streak that dates back to 2006.

“I’m looking forward to attacking the mountain with Fabian and Local Legends,” Webb said. “I’ve been impressed with Fab’s approach in the setup of his race car and I feel we will be in a competitive position.”

The 37-year-old is excited to welcome O’Keeffe to the team and explained that he has been very impressed by the talent 23-year-old Victorian.

“We welcome Dylan to Team PremiAir Hire to partner Garry,” Webb explained. “Dylan was impressive in his Bathurst debut last year, he’s a professional and hungry up and comer.

“Our Team Manager Geoffrey and I believe Garry and Dylan will complement one another technically and that they are a good match to secure results.”

O’Keeffe is looking forward to contesting his second Bathurst 1000 after making his debut at Kelly racing with Andre Heimgartner last year.

He is excited to be joining the team and feels more prepared for the race this time around.

“I’m honoured to get a second chance at the mountain. I am not making my debut this time so it brings a different type of pressure,” O’Keeffe said.

“I’m expecting a little more from myself this time around.

“I’ve followed Garry’s career and he’s a great driver. I’m really looking forward to working with him.

“I’m also looking forward to being in the team and around Jonathon and Fabian who have so much experience in these Supercars and at the track.

“I feel I will be better prepared this year as well with some drive and practice days scheduled for me to become familiar with the team and the cars.”

The Bathurst 1000 is scheduled to take place from November 4-7 after it was postponed last week.
