New look for Hill

Hill NZ livery 24

By Thomas Miles

Cameron Hill will roll out of the garage at the Taupo Super400 with a new livery on his #4 Matt Stone Racing Camaro.

Having raced with Tyrepower blue in the first two rounds at Bathurst and Melbourne, Hill will be in Supaglass black for the trip across the Tasman.

Whilst the design is the same, the colours are different and fittingly are black, silver and white for the New Zealand round.

To make it extra special for the team, the livery is a nod to the Stone family’s Kiwi heritage.

Hill started the 2024 season strong with a career-best fifth in the opening race, but has only been able to manage a next best finish of 13th.

However, he has still shown the pace and potential to be in and around the top 10, only to be caught up in some accidents.

Being a Canberra driver, Hill is proud a local backer will support him in New Zealand where he is yet to race a Supercar.

“The Supaglass Supercar looks awesome for New Zealand,” said Hill.

“Supaglass is a local Canberra company on the rise and has been a major part of my racing

career the past few years, developing into a great partnership with not only myself but also the MSR team.

“I’m looking forward to racing across the ditch at Taupo, the Kiwi fans are super passionate!

“From the preparation we have done, it is a very technical track with tight corners and mixed surfaces, so it will be interesting to see how the races play out with tyre degradation and all the unknowns.

“The car is going to look great on track, so hopefully we can bring home some great results in front of the Kiwi fans.”

After Nick Percat scored a famous win at Albert Park, team owner Matt Stone is hopeful Hill’s new livery will also be near the front.

“I’m a big fan of the Supaglass Industries livery that we are running on Car 4 at Taupo,” he said.

“It’s fantastic to be going back across the ditch and bringing Supercars racing back to the Kiwi fans.

“Cam has had a speedy start to the year, so we’re aiming to keep that momentum up heading into Taupo and hopefully have both cars up there fighting at the front and adding to the race win tally.”
