Tickets have gone on sale to the public for the 2021 edition of Bathurst 1000, the scheduled 10th round of the Supercars Championship.

This year’s Great Race weekend takes place from October 7-10 and tickets can be purchased now through Ticketek.

Last year the Bathurst 1000 went ahead with heavily restricted crowd numbers, however spectators that did attend were not allowed up The Mountain due to the COVID-19 situation at the time.

As reported previously, large crowds will return in 2021 and all eight campsites will be open, McPhillamy Park, Reid & Sulman, Max Cameron, The Paddock, The Chase, The Orchard, Enduro and The Motorhome.

Although tickets are now on sale, the campsites are yet to be offered to the general public.

Those who camped in 2019 and either chose not to renew for the 2020 event or received a refund will have first right of refusal for their campsite or campsites from today, until Friday 21st May at 11:59pm AEST.

Any campsites that are not purchased in period will go on sale to the public on Tuesday, June 15 at 2pm AEST.

Championship leader Shane van Gisbergen will be looking to defend his Bathurst 1000 crown alongside Garth Tander this year.

Van Gisbergen has won the last three Supercars races at the venue after taking victory in both the 250km events at the start of 2021.

October’s 1000 will also be the final time Jamie Whincup’s graces The Mountain as a full-time driver, and is the first time that the event will be known as the Repco 1000, taking over as the naming rights sponsor from SuperCheap Auto.
