GRACIE JOINS IMAGE

By Heath McAlpine

IMAGE RACING has announced that Renee Gracie will partner Jack Perkins for their two car Super2 Series campaign.

Gracie will continue her association with Caltex and will drive the CoTF Holden Commodore that Richard Muscat drove to eighth position in last year’s series.

After racing in last year’s series in an older spec Project Blueprint Ford Falcon Gracie is relishing the opportunity to race in the same equipment as the series front runners.

“While last year was difficult with two different specifications of car being allowed into the category,” Gracie said, I’m really looking forward to the year ahead where someone of the calibre of Jack Perkins is alongside me. It will be extremely valuable.”

Gracie is hopeful that her previous experience in CoTF machinery will aid her in Super2 this year.

“I’ve already driven the Ford and Nissan CoTF cars and know how much better they handle, and can’t wait to get into the Commodore in preparation for the opening round at Clipsal.”

“This year is a critical one for me.”

The Super2 Series starts at the Clipsal 500 on March 2-5.
