Meet Team 18’s New Co-drivers

By Thomas Miles

Team 18 has turned to the past and the future for its all new co-driver line up in 2025 featuring the experienced Lee Holdsworth and rookie Harri Jones.

Holdsworth is no stranger to Team 18, having driven for Charlie Schwerkolt’s squad in the early days from 2015-2018, while Jones comes with a prolific Porsche record behind him and is full of ambition to forge a Supercars career.

Jones is one of just two drivers to win multiple Carrera Cup Australia crowns and got a taste of the Camaro at an evaluation day at The Bend in December.

Having achieved almost everything there is in Porsches including competing in Europe’s top series, he has his sights set on Supercars.

“It is a dream come true to co drive with Team 18,” Jones told Auto Action at Team 18’s season launch.

“As an Australian Bathurst and the enduros are like Christmas so to know this year I will be lining up on the grid is amazing.

“It will be a massive learning year, been sponge to soak up as much information as I can about Supercars.

“I have had an awesome career in Porsches in one-make racing wth some great success at home and abroad but now I am excited for a new challenge in Supercars.”

For Holdsworth, he is impressed to see how far the team has come since he left when it was a small one-car team in 2018.

“It is quite strange, there are still a lot of familiar faces around,” Holdsworth said.

“I have to commend Charlie that there are also a lot of the same sponsors around.

“We were only a little team but a lot of water has gone under the bridge since then. We started the journey in 2015 with Charlie and we branched off to form his own team in 2016.

“We had a very small team that worked our arses off to get some results.

“You can see the investment that has gone into the place and Charlie wants to take the next step each year.

“The difference is incredible compared to when I left in 2018.”

Holdsworth and Jones replace Michael Caruso and Warren Luff, who did endurance duties in 2024.
