Love crash ends morning Supercars test

An Aaron Love crash has brought the morning session of the 2025 Supercars pre-season test to an early finish with Nick Percat on top of the timesheets.
The clock was stopped with around 40 minutes left on the clock when Love had an incident at the sweeping Turn 2 right-hander.
A suspected brake failure sent the #3 Mustang towards the inside wall, creating significant rear end damage.
Whilst Love is unharmed from the incident, with BRT mechanics closely inspecting the damage, it has brought an early end to the day for the 22-year-old.
It is a big blow given there is only one practice session before qualifying on Friday at the season opening Sydney 500.
The morning session was originally scheduled for four hours, but just over three were possible in sunny conditions.

In that time Percat emerged on top in his #10 Matt Stone Racing Camaro.
He posted a 1:30.5354, which proved to be around two tenths clear of Ryan Wood.
The WAU youngster bolted out of the gates being the first in the 1m30s window and his early lap was enough to hold onto second ahead of Matt Payne.
Team 18 will be pleased to have both Anton De Pasquale and David Reynolds in the top five.
The top seven cars that also include Jack Le Brocq and James Courtney are the only ones in the 1m30s bracket.
Rounding out the top 10 are rookie Kai Allen, plus DJR and WAU stars Brodie Kostecki and Chaz Mostert.
Most of the 25-car field got plenty of laps in before the stoppage with only four cars not getting 40 or more laps on the timesheet.
Broc Feeney might sit 18th overall, but he led the lap count with 64 in the #88, while Bryce Fullwood was the only other driver to break the 60-lap barrier.
A lot of co-drivers are also on hand to get some seat time and cars will return to the track at 14.00 AEDT for the afternoon session.
