T8 launch livery in NZ to complete historic week

After a huge week for Triple Eight Race Engineering following its shock Ford defection, Red Bull Ampol Racing elected Highlands Motorsport Park in NZ to show off its Supercars, title defending livery, with T8 drivers Will Brown and Broc Feeney dishing out hot laps for the fans.

The morning of the 69th running of the New Zealand Grand Prix proved to be a Supercars first for a team livery launch in a season that sees the series head to NZ as early as Round 3 at Taupo.
It fits in well with both Brown and Feeney set to compete in the NZ Grand Prix, warming up for the year with an on-track T8 open wheel stoush.
The team enters the 2025 season aiming to defend both the Supercars Drivers Championship and Teams Championship, with Will Brown choosing to run #1 as reigning champion, and Broc Feeney again in the #88; and in livery terms, with the white streaks added to the distinct T8 light blue and matte navy blue.

Jamie Whincup, Managing Director of Triple Eight Race Engineering said it was nice to reward the NZ fans with a livery unveiling.
“It’s been great to take a livery reveal to New Zealand for our fans over the ditch – especially with the Taupo round early in the season!” Whincup noted.
“The guys and girls at Triple Eight, alongside our longstanding co-naming rights partners Red Bull and Ampol have done an amazing job to get this car ready so we can see it on track at Highlands!”
“It’s always good to get our cars and drivers out in the community for events like this, the first Supercars team livery reveal to happen in New Zealand.”
The man who will carry the #1 into the new season was also pretty pleased with the appearance of his Chevrolet Camaro.
“How awesome does the car look! Keeping those iconic Red Bull Ampol Racing colours and adding white and blue highlights is a nice addition.”
“It’s always great to share these occasions with the fans! It’s my second year with the team and to do this event while I’m in New Zealand racing open wheelers in the off season has meant I could be a part of it.”
“The next major event for us is the team’s pre-season test day in Sydney which is going to be awesome to get a full day in the car. It’s going to be even better to show it off to the fans when we go racing in Sydney later this month…can’t wait!”
Feeney concurred with his teammate on the Camaro’s sharp look.
“I think the car looks unreal this year, my favourite in a while! I’m really looking forward to getting back on track in Sydney in a couple of weeks,” he said.
“It’s exciting to be here in NZ for the GP but to also launch our 2025 livery here at Highlands. It’s going to be great to cut some laps here in it before we head to Sydney where we can get back to work and start off 2025 strong.”

Feeney was fastest in the final practice session before NZ GP qualifying
Both Red Bull Ampol Racing Camaros will be put through their paces at the first pre-season test in Sydney on February 19 before Round 1 of the 2025 Supercars Championship, The Sydney 500 kicks off at Sydney Motorsport Park from February 21-23.
