Brad Jones Racing and SCT Motorsport to End Partnership After 2025

Date posted: 16 October 2025
Brad Jones Racing will part ways with SCT Motorsport at the end of the 2025 Supercars Championship season, bringing to a close one of the paddock’s longest-running sponsorship and operational alliances.
SCT first entered the Supercars system in 2017 when it joined forces with the Albury-based team in the Super2 Series, backing young driver Jack Smith. That relationship expanded into the main game in 2020 under the SCT Motorsport banner, with BJR running the entry on SCT’s behalf.
As reported in Clarkie’s Notepad from Bathurst, rumours of a split between BJR and SCT Motorsport were already circulating in the paddock during the Great Race weekend, with talk that both parties were reviewing their future direction beyond 2025.
The SCT Commodore has been a constant on the grid since its debut, becoming a familiar part of BJR’s four-car stable. Across both programs, SCT’s involvement has spanned nearly a decade, making it one of the more stable commercial relationships in Supercars during a period of rapid change for the category.
For SCT, the end of the partnership leaves its future Supercars involvement uncertain, with no announcement yet on whether it will continue with another team or step back from the category altogether.
BJR, meanwhile, has indicated that details of its 2026 plans will be revealed in due course. The separation provides an opportunity for the team to reset its lineup and potentially reshape its commercial structure heading into the next phase of the Gen3 era.
The split marks the end of an era that began with SCT’s first race in Super2 and evolved into a full-time main game campaign — all under the Brad Jones Racing umbrella.
