Bathurst victor David Reynolds has been a staple of the Supercars grid since 2009 and he is not going anywhere, locking in his future plans ahead of another Great Race.
Reynolds will enjoy his 19th Bathurst 1000 with the safety of knowing his future his safe.
At times in 2025 speculation has surrounded the #18 Camaro, but the 2017 Bathurst 1000 winner will remain at Team 18 in 2026.
Team 18 has announced it will retain the driver lineup that also features Finals contender Anton De Pasquale for a second season.
During his second season in Team 18 colours, Reynolds has five top 10s and sits 18th in the standings.
He will partner with former teammate Lee Holdsworth in the Great Race after being 13th at The Bend.
Reynolds is relieved to secure his future with his current team ahead of the biggest race of the year.
“I’m extremely beside myself to stay on at Team 18,” he said.
“This team’s been going from strength to strength since I joined, and I’ve watched everyone grow and get better within themselves.
“The team’s also grown in size and stature, especially with becoming the homologation team for Chevrolet.
“I think that’s such a good thing, and I’m really enjoying the journey with everyone.
“It’s great to have this all sorted before the biggest race of the year.
“It doesn’t really play on your mind, but from time to time it can, so it’s nice to have it done. “Now I can just focus on what I love to do to drive my car fast. I can’t wait to finish the year on a high and start next year strong.”
It is a big year for Team 18 in 2026 as it becomes the Chevrolet homologation team.
“We’re thrilled to have Dave Reynolds locked in and staying on with Team 18 into the future,” Charlie Schwerkolt said.
“He’s been a fantastic addition to the team over the past two seasons, not just with his speed behind the wheel but also with the energy and experience he brings to our garage.
“His input has really pushed us in the right direction and he’s hungry to continue to push this team forward.
“The relationship he’s built with Anton and our engineering group has been really valuable, and keeping that consistency in our line-up will only make us stronger heading into 2026.”

It originated from the Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC), which held its first race in 1960 at Gnoo-Blas in Orange, New South Wales. The ATCC evolved over the years, and in 1997, it was rebranded as the V8 Supercars Championship, eventually becoming the Supercars Championship we know today.
Some of the leading drivers in the history of the Supercars Championship include Peter Brock, who is often referred to as the "King of the Mountain" for his nine victories at the Bathurst 1000, a race that is considered one of the biggest in the series. Other notable drivers include Dick Johnson, Marcos Ambrose, Craig Lowndes, Shane van Gisbergen, Jamie Whincup, who holds the record for the most championship titles, and Mark Skaife, who has also been a dominant force in the series.
