Hill splits with MSR

Cameron Hill

By Thomas Miles

Despite enjoying a career-best season, Cameron Hill will leave Matt Stone Racing at the end of 2025, sparking the start of silly season.

Hill and Matt Stone Racing have announced they will part ways at the end of the 2025 season.

While it has been rumoured, it is something of a surprise given both driver and team are currently enjoying unprecedented highs.

Hill sits 12th in the championship after a breakout year, highlighted by a maiden Supercars win at Albert Park, which was also the team’s first one-two.

He has also scored podiums at Albert Park and Taupo and qualified on the front row last start at The Bend.

His success in 2025 followed a successful sophomore season, where six top 10s propelled him to 13th.

This was a significant jump from his rookie season, where he was 23rd with a solitary top 10.

Hill appeared to find a happy home, but he is now on the move and is rumoured to be heading to BJR and Toyota.

Hill said MSR has made a big impact on his career and hopes to finish on a high note with a Finals berth within reach.

“We’ve been through highs and lows together, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished as a

team,” said Hill.

“I’ve grown so much since my first race with MSR, and I’ll carry those lessons and friendships

with me wherever I go.

“Right now, my focus is on finishing 2025 as strongly as possible and giving the crew the results

they deserve.”

MSR Team Principal Matt Stone said Hill has been a big part of the team’s development.

“Cam has been a fantastic part of our team since joining us in 2023,” said Stone.

“While we will go our separate ways at the end of this year, we’re proud of what we’ve achieved

together and wish him all the best for the next chapter of his career.”
