Grid set for TA2 Tag Team Enduro

Alice Buckley leads TA2

By Thomas Miles

After some late additions, a strong 26-car grid full of Supercars stars is set to battle for glory in the TA2 Tag Team Enduro at Queensland Raceway.

The highlight of the 2025 TA2 Muscle Car Series headlines the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series action at the “Paperclip” this weekend.

The driver to catch is Jarrod Hughes, who has dominated the championship and enjoys an imposing 210-point lead in the standings.

The AC-Delco Chevrolet has been leading the pack for most of the year, and it may be even harder to catch, with a star co-driver alongside him.

Hughes will be racing with Craig Lowndes in a dream come true for the youngster.

The sister Chevrolet-backed entry also has some star power with rookie race winner Alice Buckley being joined by former Supercars driver Tim Slade.

Bathurst champions Brodie Kostecki and Paul Morris have also joined forces, while Todd Hazelwood is headlining TFH Racing.

Other Supercars drivers Nash Morris, Todd Hazelwood and Aaron Seton are on show.

A former Supercars driver in Tim Blanchard is a late addition, partnering with New Zealand driver Jon Udy.

It will be his TA2 debut, but he also has Trans Am experience as recently as the Darwin Triple Crown.

Sons of guns Jason Bargwanna and Steven Richards have also made the journey North from their Melbourne base, Benny Bargwanna and Clay Richards combining for their first at TA2 competition.

The format will see a sprint race for each of the team drivers both Saturday and Sunday while two 45-minute enduro races will feature a compulsory driver change.

The team that has scored the most points over the six races will be the winner with the action broadcast on SBS and Fox Sports.
