Fans to welcome Supercars back to Ipswich

The field heads into Turn 1 at Queensland Raceway in 2019.

Fans can celebrate the first sight of Supercars at Queensland Raceway in six years with a free fan event on the eve of the Ipswich Super440.

On Thursday 7 August, a Supercars free fan event will take place on Nicholas Street Precinct in Ipswich CBD from 16.30-18.30 AEST.

All 26 Supercars drivers will be present with a free autograph session on offer from 17.00-18.00 AEST.

In addition to Supercars, Australian Superbikes riders will also be on show, while a show and shine and driver simulators, plus food, kids zone and live music are also on offer.

Supercars have not raced around the “Paperclip” since 2019 and Century Batteries Ipswich Super440 Event Manager Matt Gegg believes this will be the perfect way to open the event.

“The free event promises fun for the whole family and is a unique opportunity for fans to meet their favourite drivers and riders before the action begins at Queensland Raceway,” he said.

The Ipswich Super440 will be held on August 8-10.
