Heimgartner feels ‘our mojo is back’

After an up-and-down start to 2025, Andre Heimgartner feels the Darwin Triple Crown is a turning point of BJR’s campaign.
Heimgartner is the established BJR leader and has carried on that mantle in 2025, but has struggled to string together consistent results.
However, things have turned to the #8 with the Kiwi stringing four straight top 10s dating back to the Wanneroo finale where he raced his way from a tough grid position with a big final stint.
Although he had to do the same in the Darwin Triple Crown opener, the qualifying speed was back at Hidden Valley.
Heimgartner started in the top 10 in the final two races and was able to convert that to his best result of the year with fourth before finishing the weekend with a solid sixth.
As a result, Heimgartner’s smile is back and having worked his way back into Finals, he feels things coming back to him.
“Car was very speedy. It of unfortunate and just a couple little things didn’t go our way, which meant we couldn’t secure fourth,” he said.
“But nonetheless, sixth was really good, a positive outcome.
“To sort of have the speed back and feel like we’ve got a bit of our mojo back is really, really, really, the main point there.
“Very happy with the weekend and looking forward to the remaining rounds hopefully this continues on and I think as a team we are only getting stronger, so exciting.”
In addition to Heimgartner, both Bryce Fullwood and Macauley Jones also impressed.
Fullwood put on a show for his home fans, getting as high as fourth and notching three straight top 10s as well.
“Pretty decent weekend. Really good weekend for us here in Darwin, three races in the top ten and two really strong qualifyings,” he said.
“I feel like the team was doing a good job and we’re starting to work these things out. So really looking forward to see what we can do in Townsville.
“Super proud to have had a good showing in front of all my home ground here at Darwin.”
