Stage set for GT showdown

The SpeedSeries is heading to Queensland Raceway for the third round of the GT World Challenge and GT4 Australia championships.
A 14-car field will be heading the GT World Challenge Australia where one Ferrari is running away with it.
Jaxon Evans and Elliott Schutte have been the dominant force so far, winning three of the four races so far and hold a commanding 39-point lead.
However, there will also be plenty of attention on the sister Arise Racing entry as it marks the return of Aaron Love.
Love has not been seen since the opening Supercars round at Sydney Motorsport Park as he was dropped by Blanchard Racing Team in the aftermath.
He is stepping in for brother Jordan in the Ferrari 296 GT3 alongside Stephen Wyatt.
Love is not the only Supercars driver making a category debut with Luke Youlden also stepping up.
Youlden is the star driver in a new entry formed by Tigani Motorsport where the 2017 Bathurst winner will share a Porsche 911 GT3-R with Nathan Halstead.
Broc Feeney will stay alongside Brad Schumacher for a third meeting in a row in the #888 Audi, while Jayden Ojeda and Paul Lucchitti are set to lead the Mercedes charge.
Two entries determined to make up ground after a disappointing Sydney round are Liam Talbot and Declan Fraser in the Aston Martin and Brendon Leitch and Tim Miles in the all Kiwi Audi.
Audi will be a brand to watch as it swept last year’s round at QR with Alex Peroni/Mark Rosser and Will Brown/Schumacher victorious.
David Wall will put the helmet on again as he steps in for Tony D’Alberto alongside Adrian Deitz in the Lamborghini.
In Am Renee Gracie is leading the way ahead of James and Theo Koundouris.
Making a welcome return to the field is the 111 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for Darren Currie and Grant Donaldson to round out Am Class.
The GT4 Australia field has also been boosted by some new entries.
A new part of the 28-car field will see a Supercars and Touring Car Masters star join forces.
Aaron Cameron and Ryan Hansford will partner up in a new Multispares Racing Ford Mustang.
Multispares Racing has been a focal point of TCM for a number of years and spearhead Hansford is now bringing that into GT4.
Cameron, current BRT Supercars driver and Hansford, 2022 TCM champion, will drive a striking Mustang that wills and out in the familiar yellow and blue scheme.
Another new entry with a famous face will be the #8 McLaren of Paul Morris and Chris Pappas.
It will be fun for “The Dude” in particular as he will race against his son Nash, albeit in different classes in Am and Silver respectively.
The fight for overall Silver Class honours is led by Tom Hayman and Max Geoghegan, who sit 16 points clear of George Miedecke and Rylan Gray.
Two races will be held in both classes across the weekend with the action on 7plus.
