The big news that sent shock waves through the industry was the announcement that General Motors’ official Supercars homologation team, Triple Eight Race Engineering, has confirmed its secret plans to swap manufacturers to Ford and will race Mustangs from the start of 2026.

Not only will Triple Eight no longer homologate and race Chevrolet Camaro’s, but T8 will become the homologation team for the Ford Mustang!

Another young gun on the rise is Max Geoghegan who enters the 2025 Super2 season with plenty of pedigree and success in his blood-line. His grandfather Ian ‘Pete’ Geoghegan won five Australian Touring Car Championship titles from 1964-1969. Max tells us his story.

There’s Sprintcar action aplenty. It has been a massive couple of weeks of Sprintcar racing around the country, and one driver has dominated. James McFadden has won the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic for the third time as well as last weekend’s Australian tittles. He’s the first driver to do the double since 1990 when Garry Rush won both the Classic and the Championship in one season. Auto Action has all the Sprintcar action covered.

The Bathurst 12 Hour has been run and won by BMW, with the WRT team recording a spectacular 1-2 – and AA’s Thomas Miles was on hand at The Mountain to cover all the action – news, interviews and a full race coverage.

The Daytona 24 Hours was another heavyweight slug-fest, with Porsche taking another win. There were lots of great results for the many Aussie and Kiwi drivers in the field. Auto Action’s coverage delivers overall race coverage with a focus on our local driver results.

The World Rally Championship has started with the traditional season opener. The Monte Carlo rally was won by 41-year-old French veteran and eight-time world champion Sebastien Ogier and his Toyota … Looks like it could be another year of domination.

NASCAR’s traditional season opener ‘The Clash’ was held at the Bowman Gray track, also known as ‘The Madhouse.’ It’s an old-school flat half-mile oval. The crazy race was won by Chase Elliott and AUTO ACTION’S Andrew Clarke was on hand to witness the mayhem.
