Four Supercars rounds for Aussie Racing Cars

The 2025 Aussie Racing Cars season will be held across seven rounds with four of them sharing the Supercars spotlight.

Being the 25th anniversary of the category, it was always going to be a big season and it has proven to be with a revamped calendar.

Only two of the circuits seen last year will return to Aussie Racing Cars in 2025.

It begins at Sydney Motorsport Park when the Trophy Tour is held there at the end of March.

Then it is a Supercars double header with the Aussie Racing Cars heading to Symmons Plains Raceway and Wanneroo.

The category then enjoys its first taste of the SRO Motorsport Series at Sandown Raceway at the end of July, marking the mid point of the season.

Aussie Racing Cars will be part of the show at the first Supercars enduro at Tailem Bend in September.

The penultimate round will be a special occasion, being the category’s first trip to the revamped One Raceway in Goulburn.

It will be a fitting finale as the pint-sized rockets fly over the kerbs at the Adelaide 500 for the first time in three years.

The only rounds seen in 2024 were Wanneroo and Symmons Plains, with Mount Panorama, Queensland Raceway, Wanneroo, Townsville and Phillip Island all dropping off.

Aussie Racing Cars Category Manager Brad Ward was delighted and felt 2025 will be the best season yet.

“The 25th edition of the Super Series is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet, with unprecedented competitor numbers,” said Ward.

“In 2024, we consistently fielded the largest grids of any major national category and judging by the overwhelming interest for 2025, combined with the fantastic mix of events just announced I’m confident we’ll see another year of capacity grids.

“To support our strong contingent of South Australian teams, I’m particularly excited about traveling to Adelaide twice. First at The Bend Supercars event, then for the grand finale at the VAILO Adelaide 500.

“Additionally, the completely revamped and bi-directional One Raceway is a track I’m eager to revisit in 2025.

“The calendar also features two long-haul trips to Tasmania and Perth. Symmons Plains has become a staple in the ARC series that perfectly suits our ‘pocket rockets’. We’ll then support Supercars at carco.com.au Raceway one final time before ushering in a new era with the inaugural Perth street circuit event in 2026.

“This year’s schedule offers an incredible variety of venues and opportunities to showcase the category.

“I can’t wait to see more than 40 Aussie Racing Cars take to the track in Sydney for Round 1 of the 2025 Battery World Aussie Racing Cars Super Series.”
