Adelaide Rally takes off

The 2024 Shannons Adelaide Rally is underway with over 400 cars taking part in the event across the suburbs of Adelaide and the challenging roads of the Adelaide Hills, including the famous climb to the Eagle On The Hill.

The WA based Rullo family are in dominant form with Alex Rullo and Steve Glenney in their Hyundai i20n Rally 2 car, leading at the end of day one, ahead of the combination of Peter Rullo/James Marquet also in a Hyundai i20n Rally 2 and Oscar Matthews/Naomi Tillett who are tied for second place in their Mitsubshi Lancer Evolution VI.

Australian motorsport legend Craig Lowndes and wife Lara Lowndes are taking part in the Main Tour, driving a Chevrolet Corvette Z06.
Competitive categories include the Competition, Challenge and TSD categories, with Competition category entrants who reside outside of South Australia eligible for the Adelaide Tourist Trophy.
In addition to competitive categories, there are tour groups from car brands, dealers and clubs such as Adelaide BMW, Solitaire Automotive Group, Mercedes-Benz Adelaide and Mercedes-Benz Unley, Peter Page Hyundai, Porsche Centre Adelaide, Zagame Adelaide, Adelaide Mini Garage, Formula Honda and Porsche Club South Australia.
