Ipswich and Sandown in 13-round 2025 Supercars calendar

The Supercars season will grow slightly to 13 rounds in 2025, with Queensland Raceway making a comeback and Sandown staying.
The fight for the 2025 Supercars Championship will run across 13 rounds starting in Sydney on February 21 before the popular Adelaide finale on November 27-30.
With only the COVID-impacted 11-round 2020 season seeing fewer rounds than the last two seasons across the last 25 years, fans will be encouraged to see an extra round in place, bringing it back to the 13 seen in 2022.
With the unsuccessful Bathurst 500 season opener being ditched, both The Bend Motorsport Park and Queensland Raceway return after one and five years away respectively.

Whilst dates and venues are confirmed, formats outside the Bathurst 1000 are yet to be revealed, but will be in coming days.
The Bend is expected to be the 500km enduro in the traditional September window and it is unclear if the famous Sandown 500 will be held for a second time in November or the sprint format would be preferred.
Just like in 2022, the season kicks off under lights in Sydney where the SuperNight event should be held in much warmer conditions in the late February summer as opposed to a wintery July this year.
Teams will have a two-week break before the annual trip to Albert Park for the rapid-fire sprint round at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix on March 13-16.

The only other date that was previously confirmed was the trip across the Tasman to Taupo.
There is a month either side of the New Zealand round with Tasmania being brought back to the opening half of the season.
After a first August meeting in Symmons Plains’ 55-year Supercars history, it has been moved back to round 4 in May just like 2023.
At the start of June WA based fans may enjoy their last sight of Supercars at the historic Wanneroo circuit, which hosts its 46th round before the proposed move to a Perth street circuit in 2026.

The familiar northern based trio of events of Darwin, Townsville and Ipswich are back together after the latter has been absent since 2019.
Over the last five years the “Paperclip” has undergone a facelift thanks to Tony Quinn.
Critically the Townsville date has been moved back a week which could allow the likes of Will Brown and Cam Waters to steer a NASCAR on the streets of Chicago, but now clashes with Sonoma.
As previously promised The Bend will return to Supercars as host of the important pre-Bathurst enduro on September 14 with its seven previous rounds all being sprints.
Fans can mark Bathurst Day 2025 in their calendars as Sunday, October 12, while the familiar follow-up trip to the Gold Coast is a fortnight later.

Despite some speculation Sandown stays on the calendar, albeit losing the September enduro and being moved to November, away from AFL finals just like in 2019.
Whether or not the famous 500km enduro, which celebrated a 60th anniversary this year, remains to be seen but the signs are good.
What is not in doubt is the grand finale returning to the streets of Adelaide for a fourth year in a row at the end of November in a slightly later date.
The Channel 7 broadcast rounds are yet to be revealed.
