Extreme E coming to SBS

Fans can now watch Australia’s Molly Taylor chase Extreme E glory on SBS through a new TV deal.
The electric off-road series has struck a new broadcast partnership with the free-to-air broadcaster.
It means audiences can now tune into SBS to watch Extreme E either on TV or digitally through its streaming service SBS On Demand.
Driving for E.ON Next Veloce Racing, Taylor currently leads the Extreme E championship standings after back to back victories in the latest round at Scotland.
She is chasing a second title having also won it on her first attempt in 2021 with Rosberg X Racing, while she finished third last year with three wins.
A double header in Sardinia in September is followed by a USA based finale at the end of November.
“As Australia’s most globally-connected national broadcaster with a longstanding and proud support of Australian motorsports, SBS is the perfect network to broadcast this thrilling, purpose-driven event to Australian audiences and we’re proud to bring Extreme E to SBS and SBS on Demand throughout the 2024 season,” said SBS Director of Sport Ken Shipp.
From 2025 Extreme E will be known as Extreme H and become the world’s first hydrogen off-road racing series and become an FIA Championship.
“We are excited to announce our partnership with SBS, a leader in delivering diverse and high-quality content to Australian audiences,” said Managing Director of Extreme E Ali Russell.
“This new collaboration is crucial for our reach and engagement in Australia, and we hope that our dedicated fanbase across the country enjoys our action-packed motorsport series.”
