Aaron Cameron has been rewarded for years of work by getting a Supercars debut with Blanchard Racing Team in the 2024 enduros.
Cameron joins Aaron Love in an all Aaron combination in the #3 CoolDrive Mustang for the iconic Sandown 500 and Bathurst 1000 events.
It is a reward for effort and patience for Cameron, who has been a young gun to watch for many years.
He first appeared on the national scene in the Australian Formula Ford and V8 Utes Series back in 2017, but has made a name for himself in the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia series where he has collected seven wins and 27 podiums.
He also dominated last year’s S5000 title, winning seven of the last nine races.
In 2023 Cameron took a leap towards his Supercars dream by making his Super2 debut at Sandown last year and was competitive straight away.
He has competed every event since with 2024 being his first full season with Kelly Racing and he currently sits a strong second in the championship.
Cameron can’t wait for his first shot at the big time.
“I am thrilled to join BRT as co-driver for the 2024 Supercars endurance season,” he said.
“The opportunity to work with an emerging team and showcase my skills with another young guy in Aaron Love is very exciting.
“I look forward to contributing to the team’s success on the track.”
BRT team principal Tim Blanchard said Cameron has impressed at team evaluation days and deserves the opportunity.
“We are delighted to welcome Aaron Cameron to BRT,” he said.
“Aaron’s outstanding performances during our evaluation days at the end of last season and earlier this year have left a strong impression on us.
“Alongside his great form in Super2, where he currently holds second place in the championship, Aaron’s impressive achievements across various categories and his evident racing talent make him a valuable asset to our team.
“His experience and winning attitude align perfectly with our team’s goals, and we are confident that he will make a significant impact alongside Aaron Love.
“With the addition of Aaron Cameron, BRT completes its formidable endurance line-up, with Jack Perkins teaming up with James Courtney in the sister No. 7 Snowy River Caravans entry.”

Some of the leading drivers in the history of the Supercars Championship include Peter Brock, who is often referred to as the "King of the Mountain" for his nine victories at the Bathurst 1000, a race that is considered one of the biggest in the series. Other notable drivers include Dick Johnson, Marcos Ambrose, Craig Lowndes, Shane van Gisbergen, Jamie Whincup, who holds the record for the most championship titles, and Mark Skaife, who has also been a dominant force in the series.
The Bathurst 1000, held at Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, is arguably the most famous race in the Supercars calendar. Other significant races include the Sandown 500 and the Adelaide 500, which are known for their challenging circuits and thrilling competitions.
