Drifting icon ‘Mad Mike’ Whiddett will be bringing the Pikes Peak winning RWD Four-Rotor Mazda 3, also known as BULLET to the upcoming World Time Attack Challenge.
The BULLET lives up to its name having been set the fastest rotary engined time in the 102-year history of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.
Whiddett is no stranger to the World Time Attack Challenge event, having driven a Mazda RX-7 in the past.
This year he will bring his Mazda 3 BULLET to Sydney Motorsport Park that has been re-engineered from taking on a hillclimb to sliding.
Underneath the sleek body lies a monstrous 2.6-litre, twin-turbocharged rotary engine, powered by 1,400 horsepower.
Whilst the livery is in the familiar blue and white Red Bull colours, Mad Mike has “surprises up his sleeves for the crowds of WTAC.”
The 2024 World Time Attack Challenge will be held at Sydney Motorsport Park from August 30-31.
