Just 15 laps into the 200-lap NASCAR Truck Series debut, a return drive for Cameron Waters has already been confirmed.
Waters will make a second start for ThorSport Racing in the NASCAR Truck Series at the Heart of America 200 at Kansas Motors Speedway on Friday, May 4.
He has just started his debut race at Martinsville and currently sits 25th after starting 22nd.
Having finished practice 12th and qualified 22nd, ThorSport Racing told reporters Waters “asked all the right questions” after his first in-car experience.
Waters was buzzing after practice.
“So much fun,” Waters said in a Ford Performance video after practice.
“The team has been really accommodating, got a bunch of legends on my car, which made it so much easier.”
Much like the debut in Martinsville, the Kansas race fits nicely in Waters’ Supercars schedule, being exactly a fortnight after the Taupo Super400 and before the Perth SuperSprint.
The race is being broadcast live on Fox Sports 506 on Foxtel and Kayo.
