TASMANIA’S Hyundai Excel drivers have reached the half-way mark in their race towards $10k as part of the two-round Race Tasmania series.

On Sunday 10 March, a field of 17 cars hit the track over three races at Baskerville Raceway, just north of Hobart, not only with a goal to take home the record Excel cash prize, but to give themselves a good chance of winning the inaugural Garry Rogers Trophy next week.

In all three runs throughout yesterday’s program, Jackson Shaw, Jeremy Bennett, and Oliver Wickham respectively placed first, second and third.

The ACL Race Series Hyundai Excels’ race to $10,000 will conclude next weekend at Race Tasmania round two at Symmons Plains Raceway. The program of action also includes Tassie Tin Tops, TCR, Trans Am, and drift cars.
