After three years away, the popular Muscle Car Masters event will return to Sydney Motorsport Park in 2026.

The heritage and classic car meeting run by the Australian Racing Drivers Club started in 2006 and will make a celebrated return on its 20th anniversary.

The return event has locked in the August 29-30 date in 2026 at the track formally known as Eastern Creek.

Having become an annual fixture on the calendar, Muscle Car Masters morphed into the Sydney Masterblast in 2019.

However, Covid-19 cancellations and economic downturn saw the event retired in 2023.

However, the ARDC has received “growing interest” from categories, competitors, and fans alike and will host an 18th running in 2026.

“The Muscle Car Masters has always been about the cars, the culture, and the people who shaped Australian motorsport,” said ARDC CEO Glenn Matthews.

“It was a crowd favourite for years, and the ARDC is thrilled to bring it back in 2026.

“This will mark the 18th running of MCM, giving long-time fans and a new generation the chance to experience the unique atmosphere and legendary machines that made it such an iconic event.

“The ARDC is dedicated to making memorable motorsport experiences, and Muscle Car Masters is exactly that.”
