Dick Johnson Racing (DJR) will carry on racing its iconic colours on its #11 and #17 Ford Mustangs in 2024.
Both Anton De Pasquale and Will Davison will race with the familiar red, white and yellow livery that has been seen since 2017.
The latest tweak has seen more red applied to the rear, sides skirts and the front splitter.
Last year the rear end was mainly white with the bottom of the entire car was yellow. DJR CEO David Noble explained why the team carries on with the similar livery.
“As we look to attack the 2024 season, the Shell V-Power Racing Team is excited to unveil a livery that embodies the core of our racing DNA,” he said.
“While our livery may be familiar, it signifies our team’s rich history, legacy, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
“Throughout the off-season, our dedicated team has been driven to improve from the lessons learned, emerging with a stronger resolve to hunt success this year. Heading into this season, our direction is clear, return to the top.”
DJR is hoping to return to its former glory after a challenging Gen3 debut.
Having been a winning machine collecting a hat-trick of titles with Scott McLaughlin from 2018 to 2020 and then finished second in the constructors championship for the next two years in 2021 and 2022, but 2023 was a different story.
Just one win came the team’s way across the whole season with the highlight taking place at Townsville where Anton De Pasquale dominated on the Sunday.
But this proved to be the team’s only success as it finished fifth in the teams championship, its lowest since 2015 when it was a single car team.
Dick Johnson was frank on the team’s challenges in a year dominated by parity but believes bigger things are to come in 2024.
“We’ve just come out of a really tough year, 2023 was probably the toughest year we’ve had in a long, long time,” he said.
“But a lot of hard work has been done by our Team in the off season and I’m really looking forward to getting back into it, especially at Bathurst.
“I think things have been equalised pretty well and I believe that we will back fighting up the front.”
De Pasquale had a tough start to 2023 with one top five in the first 16 races, but things turned around after he won at Townsville.
He collected two more podiums at Sydney Motorsport Park and Bathurst to eventually finish eighth in the championship.
In 2024 De Pasquale is hopeful of being in the championship picture for the first time in his career.
“2024 is shaping up to be a big year and I’m super pumped to back on the racetrack with Shell V-Power Racing Team,” he said.
“I think we’ll have a tight championship battle ahead of us and we will be fighting hard to be amongst the top of it consistently throughout the year!”

Davison will carry on in the famous #17 for the fourth year in his second stint at the team.
Last season was also a step back for Davison finishing 10th having been in the top five in each of his previous three for the famous Ford squad.
But he still salvaged 12 top 10 finishes including a third place at Hidden Valley and is ready to push hard in 2024.
“This time of year is always exciting as we count down to the first race of the season,” he said.
“Last year was challenging, but our team has worked exceptionally hard over the off season and we’re coming back fighting in 2024.
“I can’t wait to be back on track again soon and am very proud to, once again, be competing in the iconic No.17 Shell V-Power Mustang.”
