EMA Motorsport has called up British talent Harry King to make his Aussie debut in the Porsche Carrera Cup at Bathurst.

Three-time Porsche Supercup race winner King will race alongside regular Garnet Patterson int he #19 EMA Motorsport machine for the sixth round of the championship.

Ironically the 22-year-old will find himself racing once again against Australian BWT Lechner Racing teammate Harri Jones, who is representing his own team in a comeback to home turf.

King is excited to take on the Aussies on home turf.

“I am delighted to be welcomed to EMA Motorsport ahead of Bathurst,” he said.

“The prospect of racing in Australia really excites me, and to measure myself against the Carrera Cup Australia competition is something I am eager to experience.

“It is great to confirm the drive with EMA Motorsport after my successful weekend in Austria – but all quite surreal! I hadn’t anticipated to be racing on the other side of the world in my career yet, so to do it at Bathurst, in a Cup car, is a great way to do it.

“Aside from my own goals and motivations for the weekend in-car, I don’t know what to expect outside of the car, so I’m really going to embrace the experience.”

The 22-year-old from Windsor, England has plenty of Porsche pedigree under his belt having won the Carrera Cup Great Britain title.

British Porsche talent Harry King will be chasing Carrera Cup success at Bathurst.

He followed this up with a dominant time in the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux series where he claimed seven wins from eight races.

In the same 2022 season King stepped up for his first Porsche Supercup season and did not look flustered at all, collecting four round podiums on his way to fifth in the championship.

He stayed at BWT Lechner Racing for 2023 and announced himself as a championship contender.

King won the most rounds of the season with three, including the opener on the streets of Monte Carlo, Hungaroring and Monza.

However, retirements at Silverstone and Zandvoort significantly hurt his championship chances.

King will be looking to make an impression among his Aussie rivals in an Ashes subplot to the Bathurst battle.
