Big summer of speedway revealed

The 2023/24 summer of speedway is taking shape with the coveted Australian Speedway Title race venues revealed.
The summer will come alive with no less than 15 national titles up for grabs between January and May 2024.
Almost 1000 drivers from all corners of Australia are estimated the chase their respective national crowns across 13 different tracks.
The big one, the 2023/24 Australian Sprintcar Championship title will be held at one the prestigious tracks in Australia, Warrnambool’s Premier Speedway.
One week after the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic, the Australian #1 will also be decided at the Victorian venue on January 26-27 when young gun Jock Goodyer will be determined to retain his crown.
Opening the run of national titles is the Australian Junior Sedan Title, which will be on the line at Grafton Speedway on January 18-20.
This year the race was won by Aidan Rigby at Mount Gambier’s Borderline Speedway and in 2024 it will be decided in New South Wales.
After a February free of national titles, a #1 plate will be up for grabs again in the first weekend of March with the Super Sedans chasing ultimate success in Western Australia.
Albany’s Attwell Park will stage the Super Sedans showpiece which this year was dominated by Trent Wilson in Queensland.
It is all happening on the weekend of March 8-10 where three championships will be decided across three different states.
In the Western Australian capital Perth Motorplex drivers will be looking to stop American Brady Bacon from winning back to back Australian Speedcar championships.
At Hamilton, Victoria the Street Stock’s will be on show and all eyes will be on Anthony Beare.
The Blue Lake based driver is the king of Street Stock racing with a record seven national crowns.
Completing the big weekend of racing is the AMCA Nationals, which will race at Heartland Speedway in Moana, New South Wales.
There is also a national triple header on the Easter March 29-31 weekend.
Modified Sedans will go racing at Cranes Combined Carrick Speedway in Tasmania, while Formula 500’s are taking centre stage at Toowoomba and Modlites are in action at Grafton.
The first April event is the SCCA Pro Sprint at Avalon where South Australia’s Mark Caruso is defending the #1.
There will be no shortage of action during the Anzac Day weekend where no less than four titles are up for grabs.
Late Models are held at Toowoomba, Production Sedans in Mildura, AWSR at Eastern Creek and SKAA at Maryborough.
The final Australian title is the Dirt Modified crown at Bundaberg’s Carina Speedway on the first weekend of May.
