Brad Jones Racing reveals first 2023 Camaro livery

By Thomas Miles

Following a year of rotating looks, Macauley Jones will be easy to recognise in 2023, with Pizza Hut support for the entire Supercars season.

Pizza Hut will be the major backer of Jones’ #96 Chevrolet Camaro at all 12 stops in 2023.

The simple, yet eye-catching livery is the first of four paint schemes revealed from BJR as it aims to get its quartet of Camaros on track next week.

Jones retaining the same livery for the entire season will be a relief for fans after car #96 featured no less than seven unique looks.

Pizza Hut colours are familiar to Supercars fans having first appeared on Todd Hazelwood’s #14 BJR ZB Commodore at the 2021 Darwin Triple Crown and Townsville 500 events.

Jones himself also campaigned Pizza Hut backing at last year’s Townsville event with a near identical livery to Hazelwood’s on his #96 ZB Commodore.

The updated version for Jones’ Camaro follows a similar trend, being a white base with red shades on the bonnet and side skirts.

The Pizza Hut logos located on the doors and bonnet are slightly smaller, while other supporting sponsors rotated around the car.

The livery was revealed at the Hume Dam where Jones said he looks forward to sinking his teeth into understanding the new Gen3 Camaro.

“It’s pretty awesome being able to have Pizza Hut on the Camaro for the year. It’s an exciting time in Supercars – with Gen3, with the Camaros and the whole build process. It’s going to be a very big year and it’s cool to have Pizza Hut beside us for it.

“The livery looks impressive on the Camaro, just makes it look mean and ready to deliver.

“I can’t wait to get behind the wheel at the first test and really get a taste of my own Camaro – learn the intricacies and try and really settle into the Gen3 car.”

BJR team owner Brad Jones was excited to see Pizza Hut expand its partnership with the team ahead of the maiden Gen3 campaign.

“Expanding our partnership with Pizza Hut into Gen3 for the full season is tremendously exciting. Over the last few years they’ve produced some really engaging activities and competitions for fans and we’re looking forward to working with them through 2023.

“Fans can now cheer on our Pizza Hut Camaro at every round of the championship while eating a Pizza Hut pizza either at home or at some of the signature events where a Pizza Hut store is at the venue. How good is that!?

“The sponsorship is more than just a logo on the car and we’re excited that they’re part of the BJR family.

“Our team has been working around the clock to get our Gen3 cars prepared and it means a lot to all of us to be able to share the Pizza Hut car with everyone.”

BJR is expected to shakedown its completed Chevrolet Camaros next week at Winton and Jones’ new colours will be seen at Sydney Motorsport Park on Wednesday, February 22 at the test day.
