Jones Goes Grey For Gold Coast

By Thomas Miles

Brad Jones Racing has took the covers off another new look for Macauley Jones in the 2022 Supercars Championship.

Jones’ #96 Holden ZB Commodore will race on the streets of Surfers Paradise with a sleek all-grey look backed by new naming rights partner Pertamina Lubricants Fastron Synthetic.

The grey scheme is Jones’ seventh new look in just 12 rounds in the 2022 Supercars Championship season after he raced with a one-off Wet & Forget look at the recent Bathurst 1000.

But the driver cannot wait for the livery to shine under the Gold Coast sun.

“It’s been great to bring Pertamina on board this season and an honour to represent such a high-quality product within the industry while helping to introduce the brand to the Australian market,” Jones said.

“All the team at BAS Auto and Pertamina have been as excited to learn about Supercars as we have been to learn about their products and the livery for the Gold Coast takes their visibility to our fans and the industry to the next level.”

PT Pertamina Lubricants, distributed in Australia by Business Automotive Solutions Pty Ltd (BAS), has been on board with Jones for most of the 2022 season and it will now showcase its brand to the huge crowds expected for what is set to be one of the standout events of the season when Supercars return to the streets of the Gold Coast for the first time since 2019.

PT Pertamina Lubricants is the latest major backer of car #96.

“We’re excited to be joining Macauley and BJR as naming rights sponsor for the Gold Coast event,” Operations Managing Director of BAS Auto Andry Wijaya said.

“Our business has been a newcomer to Supercars this year and we have been so impressed with the series and our involvement with BJR and hope to continue with a great weekend here on the Gold Coast.”
