Iconic Porsche 962C headed for Adelaide Streets.

The list of iconic vehicles for the Adelaide Motorsport Festival keeps growing, with a Porsche 962C that raced at the Le Mans 24 Hours to be present.

The beautiful Kremer Racing Leyton House-liveried Porsche 962C, will make its debut at the festival that runs from March 25-26 at the Victoria Park section of the Adelaide Street circuit.

The 962C was the dominant sportscar of the Group C era, winning seven Le Mans 24 Hour races in a row between 1981-1987.

The Porsche 962C was the most successful sportscar of its era, winning 7 straight Le Mans 24 Hour races in the 1980’s

Powered by a three-litre twin-turbo six cylinder engine at 750hp, the iconic German manufactured sportscar joins an already exciting list of vehicles that will take to the track with more to come.

Other notable entries are a pair of 1989 Brabham BT58s – as driven by Martin Brundle and Stefano Modena during the 1989 Formula 1 season – a 1988 Arrows A10B Megatron – as driven by Eddie Cheever during the 1988 Formula 1 season – an Arrows Formula 1 three-seater car, and a 2011-spec Dallara IndyCar.

Held on the Victoria Park section of the Adelaide Street Circuit, the action at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival is fast, furious and frequently changing, with a different category of vehicles on track every 10 to 15 minutes, including more open-wheelers headlined by classic Formula 1 cars, V8 Supercars alongside Heritage Touring Cars, a special Invitational category alongside Demonstration sessions, a Shootout for the fastest cars and more.
