JAPANESE GRAND PRIX QUALIFYING REVIEW

For the first time in three years, the infamous Suzuka Circuit once again played host to an exciting qualifying  session, setting the grid ahead of tomorrow’s Japanese Grand Prix.  

AUTO ACTION’s Reese Mautone takes a look at how the session played out. 

Qualifying 1:

  3. Kevin Magnussen 
  4. Lance Stroll 
  5. Nicholas Latifi 

Leclerc was edged out by Verstappen to start the Japanese GP in P2

Qualifying 2:

  1. Daniel Ricciardo 
  2. Valtteri Bottas 
  3. Yuki Tsunoda
  4. Zhou Guanyu 
  5. Mick Schumacher 

Ocon took an impressive P5, whilst Norris finished in P10 after scraping through to Q3 over his teammate by one one-thousandth of a second

With the chance of rain present and the potential for a Champion to be crowned, the Japanese Grand Prix is  set to be an exciting race, scheduled to take place at 2:00 pm in Japan on Sunday (4:00 pm AEST).
