BATHURST 6 HOUR SCHEDULE REVEALED

The schedule for the 2022 edition of the Bathurst 6 Hour has been released, with five categories supporting the main race between April 15-17 at Mount Panorama.

To prepare for the challenge of endurance racing at the Mountain, 6 Hour competitors will take part in two one-hour practice sessions on the first day of the event, Friday April 15.

A third shorter session will follow on Saturday morning, before Qualifying is held across two sessions in the late afternoon starting at 4:05pm AEDT.

The race itself will run from 11:15am – 5:15pm AEDT, after the support categories show their wares.

Australian Racing Group categories the TCR Australia Series and Trans Am Series headline the support act, each down for three races at Mount Panorama.

TCR will complete two practice sessions on the Friday, before a double dose of qualifying and racing on Saturday. A final race on the Sunday will complete the round, taking place immediately before the start of the 6 Hour.

Trans Am machines will hit the grid for Practice and Qualifying on Friday, heading into two races on Saturday. As with TCR, a third and final race is scheduled for Sunday at 9:20am AEDT.

Rounding out the support card will be the Historic Touring Cars, Australian Pulsar Racing Association and HQ Holdens.

The little Pulsars will be on track on Friday and Saturday, completing all three of their races on the latter.

The magnificent mix of Historic Touring Cars also get three races, two on the Saturday and one on Sunday including an early morning affair.

HQ Racing will run with the same structure, closely following the schedule of Historic Touring Cars.
