GRM TCR PREP RAMPS UP WITH WINTON TEST

Garry Rogers Motorsport has ramped up its preparations for the opening round of the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, completing a test at Winton Raceway.
With just two weeks to go until the season gets underway at Symmons Plains as part of the second annual AWC Race Tasmania, the Victorian squad took the regional venue to get back up to speed with its first group test of the year.
The test at Winton follows the completion of its inaugural GRM Combine – Driven By Marcos Ambrose held across Tasmania’s two circuits, Baskerville and Symmons Plains.
Four of the teams Supercheap Auto TCR Australia entries split between its two French marques, Peugeot and Renault took part in the test.
Regular drivers Jordan Cox, Dylan O’Keeffe and Ben Bargwanna were on hand to complete their first tests of the year. Also, part of the day were GRM Combine – Driven by Marcos Ambrose participants Kody Garland and Mason Kelly.
In what was a successful day, all drivers spent considerable time behind the wheel, particularly Garland and Kelly, who both continued to gain experience in TCR machinery after first being introduced to the front-wheel-drive hot hatches a fortnight ago as part of the combine.
Cox, O’Keeffe and Bargwanna also ran trouble-free in warm conditions at the rural Victorian circuit.
AWC Race Tasmania will launch the 2022 Australian motorsport season featuring Supercheap Auto TCR Australia, S5000 Australian Drivers’ Championship and the Turtle Wax Trans Am Series.
