MOTOR RACING CHILDREN’S BOOKS LAUNCHED

By Dan McCarthy

Five Australian motorsport personalities are the subject of a new range of children’s books titled ‘Little Heroes’.

The brand new series of books celebrate the careers of touring car legends Peter Brock, Dick Johnson, Jim Richards and John Bowe as well as Australia’s only female national rally champion, Molly Taylor.

The brainchild of motorsport media identity Grant Rowley, ‘Little Heroes’ will be released in July for a limited run, which is available for pre-order now at $19.99 each, plus freight and handling.

Drawing from his passion for the sport and admiration of the motor racing stars, Rowley was inspired to publish this set of books.

“I’ve grown up with motorsport,” Rowley said. “Ever since I watched Dick Johnson crash through trees when I was two years old, not a day has passed where I haven’t thought about race cars.

“The Little Heroes books are my tip of the hat to these five superstars of our Aussie motorsport scene.

“Cartoons and drawings are another life-long love of mine. I guess I’ve never really grown up! I still love watching cartoons, and I feel there’s no better way to celebrate the lives of these great drivers than through illustrations and some easy-to-read poetry.”

Each of the five books contains eight original pieces of artwork directed by Rowley in collaboration with celebrated design team Avoltha

All books contain a biography on the driver it covers alongside a stats bank making it an entertaining, fun and informative read for the entire family.

Pre-orders for the five limited-edition children’s books are open now available at: http://www.networkr.com.au/buy
