2019 Dunlop Super2 Series-winning squad MW Motorsport has announced that they have signed former Tickford driver Thomas Randle for its 2020 campaign.

Just days after it was announced that Broc Feeney would take his place in Tickford Racing’s Super2 program, the 23-year-old has confirmed that he will drive the Nissan Altima that Bryce Fullwood used to win the series this year.
Randle enjoyed a breakout year in 2019, taking two race wins and two pole positions on his way to finishing third in the Super2 Series.
He also made his Virgin Australia Supercars Championship debut as a wildcard entry at The Bend Motorsport Park, before taking on a co-driving role with Lee Holdsworth to claim ninth at the Bathurst 1000 and third at the Sandown 500. Resulting in third overall for the pair in the Pirtek Enduro Cup standings.
The Victorian also expanded on his open-wheel accomplishments with a win in the new S5000 class at The Bend Motorsport Park last month.
“I’m really excited to be joining Matthew White Motorsport for the 2020 Dunlop Super2 Series.” said Randle.
“Matt has plenty of history in the sport, after forming his team in 2000 to further his own career, so it’s great to be driving for someone who is an ex-racer and has a huge amount of knowledge.”
“Matt’s had a lot of success in Supercars and I believe it is the right place for me to be in 2020 to win the Dunlop Super2 Series.”
“The MWM team have had some great drivers in their stable in the past, and hopefully I can add to that list. To be driving the 2019 championship-winning car will be a privilege and I’m just really looking forward to getting stuck into things for the first time at the beginning of the new year.”
“I’d like to thank everyone from Tickford Racing for the past two years. It has been a pleasure to drive for them and I’ve certainly learnt a lot during my time there, which I’m sure will be very beneficial to my 2020 campaign.”
MW Motorsport not only won the series with Fullwood but also claimed fourth with Zane Goodard who will graduate to the main game in 2020.
“We’re super excited to work with Thomas in the 2020 Dunlop Super2 Series,” said Team Owner Matthew White.
“He has showed during this year that he is more than capable of getting the results that we both want. He led a fair few races and we had some good battles with him. It’s great that he will be on our side of the garage next year.”
“Thomas also showed that he acquitted himself really well in the endurance races too, which is going to be a big confidence booster for him going into the new year.”
“We have established our team as one of Super2’s benchmarks, and we feel that Thomas is ready to help is continue to achieve at that level. And at just 23, he also keeps with our youth development program in order, giving young guns the opportunities to further their careers.”
MW Motorsport looks to continue as a three-car operation next season but is yet to confirm the drivers of its other two entries.

It originated from the Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC), which held its first race in 1960 at Gnoo-Blas in Orange, New South Wales. The ATCC evolved over the years, and in 1997, it was rebranded as the V8 Supercars Championship, eventually becoming the Supercars Championship we know today.
Some of the leading drivers in the history of the Supercars Championship include Peter Brock, who is often referred to as the "King of the Mountain" for his nine victories at the Bathurst 1000, a race that is considered one of the biggest in the series. Other notable drivers include Dick Johnson, Marcos Ambrose, Craig Lowndes, Shane van Gisbergen, Jamie Whincup, who holds the record for the most championship titles, and Mark Skaife, who has also been a dominant force in the series.
The Bathurst 1000, held at Mount Panorama Circuit in Bathurst, New South Wales, is arguably the most famous race in the Supercars calendar. Other significant races include the Sandown 500 and the Adelaide 500, which are known for their challenging circuits and thrilling competitions.
