Red Bull Holden Racing team has officially launched its new look for the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars season with a special event for fans in Dalby, Queensland.

Craig Lowndes, who was confirmed this morning as Jamie Whincup’s co-driver for the endurance races, took to the wheel of the team Holden ZB Commodore to showcase the new look to fans in a spectacular show run and impressive tyre smoke display for the fans who had travelled to the Dalby Aerodrome for the unveiling.

“It’s really great to reveal the 2019 Red Bull Holden Racing Team car livery in Dalby,” said Lowndes.

“This year we’ve done something different by launching in Dalby and getting close to the community here. The people and the farmers came out and they all had a smile on their faces.”

Lowndes also expressed his excitement in reuniting with Whincup for the enduros this year.

“Both Jamie and I have a great history! With a lot of people wanting the pairing to happen, I’m going to really enjoy driving with Jamie.” Lowndes continued.

“As the year goes on I can’t wait to see how Jamie and Shane perform this year with the new car and growing on the speed we had from last year. Getting back into the car for the enduros will be really special.”

Whincup is looking forward to teaming up again with the reigning Bathurst 1000 winner.

“In some way it feels like we’re getting the band back together!” said Whincup.

“Lowndesy and I obviously had a good run at the enduros a few years ago and he’s coming off the back of a win in the Enduro Cup last year, so we’ll be working hard to give ourselves and the team the best shot later this year.”

“Our previous results are no indication of how we’ll go this time around, but if there’s anyone you’d want on your side at Bathurst, it’s Craig Lowndes.”

The Red Bull Holden Racing Team went back to the team’s roots thanks to the support of the Western Downs Council. Western Downs Regional Council Mayor Paul McVeigh said hosting the launch was a great thrill for the people of the region.

“Motorsports is hugely popular on the Western Downs and people were so excited to see Craig Lowndes behind the wheel of the new Red Bull Holden Racing Team car.” said McVeigh.

“We were really excited that Red Bull chose Dalby to launch their new supercar. This is exactly the kind of event that makes the Western Downs such a great place to work and live.”

The new look for Red Bull Holden Racing Team will make its competition debut at the Adelaide 500.
