RED BULL Holden Racing Team has confirmed that Craig Lowndes will partner Jamie Whincup in the endurance races later this year.

The team made the announcement through their social media channels this morning as they prepare to launch their 2019 livery at Dalby Aerodrome in Queensland later this afternoon.

This mornings announcement will see the pair who previously won back to back Bathurst 1000’s, in 2006, 2007 and 2008 together, reunite following Lowndes’s full-time retirement after a rule change in 2010 prevented full-time Supercars drivers from teaming up in the endurance races.

The duo, who also teamed up with Toni Vilander to win the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2017, holds a total of 11 Bathurst 1000 wins between them. Lowndes won last years race alongside Steven Richards, while Whincup last won the race in 2012 with Paul Dumbrell.

Lowndes and Whincup will also team up with Shane Van Gisbergen for the Bathurst 12 Hour in a few weeks time in a Vodafone back Mercedes AMG GT3.
