Walkinshaw Andretti United have revealed the new look of their Mobil 1 Boost Mobile Racing Holden ZB Commodores for the 2018 Virgin Australia Supercars Season.
Both James Courtney and Scott Pye will run the same striking orange, gloss-black and silver colour-scheme that will see new naming rights partner Boost Mobile take up major branding position on the sides of both cars. While long-term partner Mobil 1 retains their iconic bonnet position.
As previously reported, James Courtney will switch over to use No. 25 to celebrate the teams 25-year partnership with Mobil 1.
“How good do these things look! They are a real head turner that’s for sure.” said Courtney.
“Having Boost Mobile on the side of both cars this year is really good to see, and of course the Mobil 1 bonnet, which is synonymous with the team, is as prominent as ever.
“The guys have done a great job getting the cars to where they are at, they have put in some major hours recently to make sure it’s right to go for the test so a big thanks must go to them.
“The bright orange on the gloss black means that they will really stand out on track, you won’t miss us that’s for sure.
“I’m really looking forward to getting behind the wheel now, it’s been a few months so buckling up again at SMP has been on my mind for a while; I’m itching to get back into it.”

Scott Pye, who will continue to run the No. 2 in 2018, will get chance to complete a 60km shakedown at Winton ahead of the all in Sydney Motorsport Park Test.
“From the moment the boys started putting the cars together, it was clear to everyone how good they look.” said Pye.
“The orange will be new to me this year, but I already love it, it’s really striking.
“We’ve got some amazing brands linking up with us this year, it’s great to have partners show their support again in 2018, as well as welcoming new ones on.
“I can’t wait to see what it looks like on-track. And to get behind the wheel of it. Everyone in the team has done a mega job getting it to this point, now the fun begins!”

Walkinshaw Andretti United also have additional support from ongoing partners SharkBite Plumbing Solutions, VISA Global Logistics, SP Tools, Scania, Sparco, Biante and PPG. They will be joined by Skechers and Kawana who are new to the team in 2018.
Both cars roll out at Sydney Motorsport Park this Friday, February 16 for the Supercars test day.

The ATCC evolved over the years, and in 1997, it was rebranded as the V8 Supercars Championship, eventually becoming the Supercars Championship we know today.
Some of the leading drivers in the history of the Supercars Championship include Peter Brock, who is often referred to as the "King of the Mountain" for his nine victories at the Bathurst 1000, a race that is considered one of the biggest in the series.
