PORSCHE CARRERA CUP
MAKING SHORT work of the final race Andre Heimgartner was a comprehensive winner, beating a three-way tussle for second by 6.2s.
Heimgartner led from lights-out to flag while David Wall initially held second ahead of Alex Davison who eventually found a way to get by.
Wall stuck with Davison for the remainder while Nick McBride worked his past Cam McConville to be right with the two battling for second in the end. Likewise, Jaxon Evans fought through from the rear to challenge McConville over the concluding laps, missing fifth by half a second.
Most of the opposition in Tag Heuer Challenge to Tim Miles disappeared at Turn 1 on the opening lap with an incident that took out Stephen Grove and Marc Cini. Simon Ellingham did close through the course of the race to finish half a second adrift.
TOURING CAR MASTERS

IT WAS an all-the-way win for Steve Johnson and his Ford Mustang in the third and final race of round six of the Touring Car Masters.
He was able to ease up over the final lap and John Bowe (Holden Torana A9X) followed him across the line. Bowe had to pass and ward off the challenge from Adam Bressington (Chev Camaro) before pulling clear while Bressington eventually lost his spot to Adam Garwood (A9X).
Bowe received a post-race 5s penalty for being marginally in front of the pole sitter Johnson at the rolling start but still managed to hold on to second.
Eddie Abelnica (Ford Falcon XB Coupe) came in fifth ahead of Andrew Fisher (Ford Falcon XY GT), Jim Richards (Falcon Sprint), Brad Tilley (XY GT) and Tony Karanfilovski (Mustang). Ryan Hansford had been fifth in his SL/R 5000 until a late spin at Forrest Elbow relegated him to tenth.

THE WIN by Jimmy Vernon in Race 12 (round four) of the single make series had cemented him the title with still three races (at Newcastle) to go.
Vernon endured a race long challenge from Ben Grice, the pair finishing ahead of category debutant Peter Major in third. Fourth was tight with Bathurst local Dylan Gulson just in front of Kane Baxter-Smith and Nicholas Carroll.
Guest driver David Brabham finished in seventh spot ahead of Aaron Borg and Luke King after Dylan Thomas was penalised 5s.
There was a safety car after the first lap when Chris Manley short-cut across Murrays Corner and clouted Luke van Herwaarde, putting both into the sand trap. Meanwhile further up the road Declan Fraser parked off the track.
