VIRGIN JOINS COMPETITION MOTORSPORTS FOR BATHURST 12 HOUR

Virgin Australia has joined Ice Break in supporting the American Competition Motorsports Porsche 911 GT3R.
Announced late last year, the car will be driven by Australian ex-pat David Calvert-Jones who will be joined by 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans winner and 2016 World Endurance Championship co-driver Marc Lieb and three-time American Le Mans Series Champion Patrick Long.
Calvert-Jones will be starting his fourth Bathurst 12 Hour race and is excited by the addition of Virgin Australia on the Competiton Motorsports Porsche.
“Constant innovation is at the heart of everything Virgin Australia does and we see that as a perfect fit for Competition Motorsports and our Bathurst 12 Hour campaign,” Calvert-Jones said.

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Virgin Australia, who alongside leading Australian beverage brand Ice Break Iced Coffee, have complimented the team greatly.”

Virgin Australia will be chartering a flight on the Sunday of the race for 60 fans to watch the race on February 5, departing at 7:30am from Sydney Airport then will return after the race at 9pm.
