Waters Fifth at Lime Rock

Cam Waters has delivered his best NASCAR performance to date, surging from 16th on the grid to finish fifth in a wild, late-race scramble at Lime Rock Park in the Truck Series’ first road course race of 2025.
The Aussie star methodically climbed the order across the 72-lap sprint, running 14th at the end of Stage 1 and 12th at the end of Stage 2 before capitalising on a chaotic restart with five laps to go. Waters restarted fourth and came home fifth in what he admitted was “probably our pace,” after dodging carnage in the final laps.
“It was great, I had a lot of fun,” Waters told Auto Action after the race. “Last year we had a bit of bad luck when I came over, so it was good to have a clean run and get a solid result. I’d love to do another one or two if the timing and budget line up.”

Corey Heim was again the class of the field, notching his fifth win of the season after holding off Ty Majeski in a frantic finish. Heim continues his astonishing 2025 form, having now led 41% of all laps completed across the season’s 13 races.
Waters, part of a five-truck entry for the formidable ThorSport Racing outfit that included last season’s champion Ty Majeski, held his own against seasoned Truck Series regulars. He confirmed that there are no immediate plans for another US tilt this year, but remains hopeful.
“If there’s a gap in the Supercars calendar and a seat available, I’ll definitely put my hand up,” he said.
As for the fierce wheel-to-wheel action? “The restarts are insane,” Waters laughed. “Thirty-five trucks, all going for it — it’s full-on.”
