Sprintcars will once again light up the Adelaide Parklands as the NAPA Sprintcar Invitational returns for the 2025 bp Adelaide Grand Final with an expanded three-night program and a boosted $110,000 prize pool.
The high-octane action will take place from Wednesday, 26 November to Friday, 28 November on the 342-metre temporary NAPA Speedway, with a 40-car field set to deliver fast and furious racing in front of packed grandstands.
Mark Warren, CEO of the South Australian Motor Sport Board, said the return of the Sprintcars was one of the most exciting elements of this year’s event.
“The success of the NAPA Speedway was incredible to see last year, and it is exciting to increase the Sprintcar action to include Wednesday evening at the bp Adelaide Grand Final,” Warren said.
“With increased viewing opportunities for the NAPA Sprintcar Invitational, the atmosphere will be elevated from last year, to see who reigns supreme amongst the 40-car field come Friday evening.”
The extended schedule will kick off on the Wednesday night with practice, qualifying, and a feature race under lights. Thursday and Friday’s racing will follow the conclusion of Supercars on the famous street circuit, ensuring non-stop action throughout the precinct.
New east-facing grandstands are now on sale, offering improved sightlines for fans, while VIP tickets to the NAPA Speedway Platform are also available for Thursday and Friday nights.
Mitch Wiley, Executive General Manager of Marketing at NAPA, said the return of the Speedway event was a proud moment for the brand.
“It’s fantastic to confirm the return of the NAPA Speedway at the bp Adelaide Grand Final this year,” Wiley said.
“The inaugural event last year was nothing short of outstanding. To see Sprintcars in the heart of Adelaide was an incredible spectacle, and the 2025 edition promises to deliver so much more.”
“NAPA is proud to have played a small part in bringing it to life, and we all look forward to seeing another huge event in the Adelaide Parklands as part of one of Australia’s great sporting events.”
Joining the Sprintcars will be the agile and aggressive Speedcars as a support class, while a new addition, the NAPA Speedway Junior Cup Invitational, will give young speedway stars, aged 10 and up, a chance to race on the same stage. Expressions of interest for the junior event open today.

Adam Currie, President of Sprintcars SA, said last year’s event proved the city format could work.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring the dynamic, high-octane world of Speedway and Sprintcar racing back to the bp Adelaide Grand Final this year,” Currie said.
“The NAPA Speedway in the City was a standout on Australia’s Speedway calendar last year, capturing the attention of motorsport fans both locally and internationally.”
“We saw some of the best racing on the temporary track last year, proving just how thrilling and competitive this format can be. Building on that success, we’re committed to making this year’s Invitational even bigger, better, and more unforgettable for fans.”
The bp Adelaide Grand Final runs from 27–30 November, and tickets for all days of the event and the Speedway are on sale now.
