Adelaide motorsport festival

Following the confirmation of the Australian Grand Prix, the dates for the 2026 Adelaide Motorsport Festival are also set.

With Formula 1 again to kick off in Melbourne on March 6-8, the annual celebration of motorsport in the former home of the Grand Prix will again be held in the slipstream.

The 2026 Adelaide Motorsport Festival will continue its tradition of taking place a week before the big race, being held on February 28-March 1.

It begins with a day of private practice and the fan favourite, free-to-attend Gouger Street Party where the cars line up in front of the public.

The annual Adelaide event has become an unofficial way to kick off the excitement for Formula 1 coming to town, with many stars and old cars being seen in the “City of Churches” before heading over to Melbourne.

Last year the likes of Valtteri Bottas, Damon Hill, Guenther Steiner, Thierry Boutsen, Alan Jones, David Brabham and David Croft were all on hand either driving or speaking.

It is not just Formula 1 that takes centre stage at the event that incorporates the Victoria Park section of the famous street circuit.

There are always a great mixture of V8 Supercars, plus sports cars, touring cars, motorbikes and more.

Tickets will be made available soon, while expressions of interest for entrants, exhibitors, traders and food trucks and registrations for volunteers and officials are currently open HERE
